Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sour cream
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 tsp
baking powder - 2 tsp
baking soda - 4 cups sifted flour
Method
- In a separate bowl, mix ½ cup crushed walnuts, ¼ cup cinnamon and sugar.
- Cream together the sugar and butter, add the eggs; beat well after each addition.
- Blend in the vanilla and sour cream.
- Into a separate bowl, sift the dry ingredients.
- Grease the
pans . - Pour part of the batter in one of the
pans and sprinkle the walnut mixture. Top with the remaining batter and then the remaining walnut mixture. - Bake at 350 degrees for 45+ minutes if you are making 2 loaves (check with a toothpick to see if it’s done), or on a
cookie sheet with squares for 40-45 minutes.
