I have been friends with Joan* for 51 years, and in all that time I have never tasted this recipe. She has been making it for 40 years! Strange, but true.

At any rate, she is a great cook so I trust that this is delicious. And I can visualize this being served at one of her “perfect” brunches with beautiful dishes, napkins, flowers, et al. She has a unique way of doing almost everything, so I know this is going to be good. Truthfully, now that I have the recipe, I can’t wait to taste it.

Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 lb. Jarlsberg cheese, grated
  • 9″ pastry pie crust
  • 1/2-pint sour cream
  • 2 shakes salt
  • 1 shake Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 can onion rings (French’s)

Mix everything together and pour into the shell. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
